FV90HP corrugator is designed for the production of double-wall pipes in the 40–90 mm range, with production speeds reaching up to 30 m/min. The decision to extend the application range up to 90 mm also meets the requirements of the North American market, allowing the production of internal diameters up to 3”.
The high operating speeds required have led to specific engineering choices. In particular, the traditional full cooling system with aluminum mould blocks has been replaced by 100 pairs of steel mould blocks with indirect cooling through contact with water-cooled plates, ensuring effective heat dissipation. Although these are relatively small diameters, the amount of plastic material to be cooled is significant, with output rates exceeding 400 kg/h.
